Man’s Strength vs. God’s Power
“Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
2 Cor 12:9b
This counterintuitive concept of strength in weakness is challenging for anyone, but for my friend Max Agapitov, it was particularly difficult to grasp.
I had the privilege of helping Max become a disciple of Christ in Moscow, Russia.
He happened to be a very strong guy - quite literally. He was the 1997 weightlifting champion of the world, so the idea of choosing to be weak in order to experience Christ’s power was definitely counterintuitive for him.
