Recovering Russian Church Leader Expresses Appreciation

Sasha Milnikov, leader of the church in Ufa, Russia (Ural Mountains), is on the road to recovery after a very serious car accident in December 2016 left him in a coma. Seven surgeries and two months later, to the day, Sasha was released from the hospital and returned home to his family, to begin a long process of rehabilitation.

Sasha, shown here at home on his crutches, made a short film (see below) to express his appreciation for all the support in prayer that he has received since the accident. In the video, shown last week to a gathering of Russian church leaders and representatives of US-based churches who support Eurasian churches held in Dallas, Sasha's wife, Valeria (or Lera for short), translates into English her husband's words of appreciation and news of his progress since the operation. Sasha's physical rehabilitation procedures are now a crucial part of his daily life. He and Lera ask for continued prayers for his complete and full recovery.

Sasha and Lera have two children: a three-year-old, and an infant born in the autumn of 2016, just a couple of months before Sasha's accident. The church in Ufa has a membership of approximately 40 members.
