Five Churches in Central Asia

Please pray for the five groups of disciples in the Eurasian family of churches located in Central Asia: Tashkent, Uzbekistan; Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; Dushanbe, Tajikistan; Ashgabat, Turkmenistan; Almaty, Kazakhstan.

All of these churches have the challenge before them to reach out to and convert nationals. Please pray for the Russian-speaking disciples there to have true missionary hearts, learn the local languages and learn to effectively reach out to the national populations.

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan is the only one of the five where there is a church in our fellowship officially registered with the government. Currently there are less than 10 disciples in this city, which we believe to be very open to the gospel. Please pray for disciples to move there who can start successful businesses and effectively reach out to the people of Bishkek.

Alesia is Russian, her husband, Nurlan, is from Kyrgyzia. They and their children, plus Alesia's mother, make up most of the church in Bishkek. There are also two single brothers over 40, one of whom is blind.
